Can students use canned or pre-cooked beans?
The culinary rules address this question on page 11, #7. Commercially manufactured food items are under the permitted category so if they are purchased from the grocery store canned or pre-cooked it is permissible and should be presented in the original container. You’ll notice in the prohibited ingredients column that teams cannot pre-prepare the beans ahead of time themselves. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
